About

Dark Project Works Pictures began with 3D Art and Animation, entirely self-taught from my home in Cornwall, UK.

I began in 3D art/animation sometime in the year 2000, firstly in Bryce 3D before quickly solely creating in Poser.

My first proper 3D animated short came in 2005 titled, AGENT. It was a little rough around the edges, Poser isn't the best program for constant smooth animations, which is a shame but it's certainly an idea app for beginners to flesh out ideas in.

I jumped back to Bryce 3D briefly for a series of shorts for my late father's company, Stroud Switchgear Ltd, in 2007.

In 2008 I released my first motion comic, Destiny. This was originally set to be a series, but things often change.

My plans for AGENT were always on the back burner, so I began working on some concept art for the future of the project from 2009 onwards.

By 2011 I had begun releasing a new motion comic series, DESERT EARTH. This was the first time since the Destiny short that I'd created a fully scripted story for a film.

2014 saw the release of Human: Playing God. This was a prequel 3D animated short to the motion comic, Desert Earth, with fully upgraded visuals that personally looked stunning when compared to the earlier series. The year also got its first look at The Agent, a part hand-drawn part 3D animated remake of AGENT, in an anime style. Why anime? The original concept for Agent was inspired by Ghost in the Shell!

In 2016 I tried my hand at stop-motion with a little title called, Mystery of the Santa Claus. The sets were massive, and again, not perfect, but it was a nice change of pace.

2017 saw the release of a Power Rangers style short. This took 3 months to produce and was virtually entirely created as one single take. Of course, some trickery was required to pull it off, and my favourite parts of this were actually before any action even takes place! The short begins in the Command Centre, where I had crafted everything in the scene, and voiced all the characters! A sequel to Ranger Red was on the cards which would have followed other rangers, but there's always another project around the corner. Talking of, after 3 long years, The Agent finally saw a release, and I was already hot on its heels for a follow-up.

My final animated film (for now) came in 2019, The Agent: New Dawn. Fully 3D animated with the cast not only from elsewhere in the country but also from overseas. The Agent's story was finally complete.

2022 saw yet another shift, not only by starting up this store but for games! Before the year ended I'd completed two contracts for PANIVOX for their RichCast platform, creating narrative games

The first game is yet to be finalised, this is a western revenge mystery titled,
The Blind Side of JusticeIn it, you take on the role of Liberty, a young girl who's lost her family after they were all killed by a group only known as The Lawless. It's your job to bring them to justice or take your revenge and uncover the corruption.

The second game is an audio experience short titled, A Little Off The Top. As RichCast is now on mobile platforms, this title is ideal for those wishing to lie back, eyes closed, and enjoy a little horror experience, with full voice control.

I have a few other projects planned and some partly scripted, and I intend to release my own games on the platform, which may include games linked to my past movies. I have already announced such titles on social media, including The Agent spin-off, Zeta Squad. And, you're hearing it here first, Tales From A Desert Earth.
